As they fly back to Chicago for a family wedding, old pals Josh and Molly make the innocent decision to pretend they're engaged so that Josh's dying father will be pleased. A series of circumstances leads them to pretend to be a couple and begin organizing a fake wedding as things get out of hand with their two rowdy families. When the pretending turns into actual feelings, the two must make a choice: do they stay apart and start over in LA, or do they stay together and start over in Chicago?
