Lauren Ames, a refined actor, has earned the opportunity to study with Stanislav Korzenowski, a renowned theatre educator. Sandy Brozinsky, a boisterous, outspoken actress, enrolls in Korzenowski's class by chance. The two ladies eventually fall in love with the same man (who turns out to be a double agent) and pursue him across the country, attempting to force him to choose between them.
