Mio is a high school student who slacks off. Together with her childhood friend Arata and best friend Madoka, she spends her after-school hours in Ikebukuro. One day, Madoka reveals to Mio that she loves Arata, prompting Mio to realize that she does, as well. However, she is afraid of their relationship falling apart, so she lies and says she would assist them. Mio acts purposefully chilly toward Arata, causing them to argue. She decides to reconcile with Arata, but is involved in a vehicle accident en route to see him. She awakens in an unknown environment. She recognizes Ikebukuro, but something is different...
