Pain and Glory

This film chronicles Salvador Mallo's final years as a filmmaker, as he recalls the people he worked with and the people he cared about most in his life. 1960s rural Valencia; 1980s Madrid; the present day when he is confronted with the difficulty to continue filming because of his mortality; the inability to separate creation from his own existence. Having a yearning to tell his story could be his only salvation.
