Partisan
Alexander, 11, lives in a commune with other kids, their mothers, and the charismatic leader, Gregori. The commune is on the edge of a crumbling city. He teaches them how to raise livestock, grow vegetables and work together as a group, as well as how to get rid of dead things. With the birth of a new baby brother on his mind, Alexander wonders if Gregori has too much power over the kids and how they're being trained to be assassins. Gregori's behavior changes when the child he used to think of as a son is becoming more and more difficult to control. It's dangerous for the two to be at odds and the commune's way of life to fall apart, so the residents fear a violent resolution is near.
