Penance
Father Eion O'Donnell is unequivocal in his belief that violence is required to push Britain out of Ireland. Antaine, a young impressionable youngster, is persuaded to fight in the 1916 Rising by his mentor, Charles. Antaine returns to Derry fifty years later as a seasoned gunfighter. This recurrence brings Eoin back to the events that led to his breakdown in 1916. Antaine's evil effect on an Altar boy, Feidhlim, reflects Eoin's influence on young Antaine.
