After Carol Anne's kidnapping by the Beast, the Freeling family seeks refuge with Diane's mother in order to avoid the shock and aftereffects of the event. Although he appears as a ghostly apparition as the Reverend Kane, a religious fanatic responsible for the deaths of many of his followers, the Beast is not to be deterred and continues his assault. What he really wants is the angelic Carol Anne, and he has a straightforward plan to achieve it.
