Psycho IV: The Beginning
Norman Bates is apparently rehabiliated for the second time after being released from the mental hospital where he was committed at the end of Psycho III. Norman is married and is expecting a child with Connie, a young nurse. Norman, on the other hand, is concerned that the child may inherit his mental disorder. Meanwhile, Fran Ambrose is a radio talk show host who is discussing matricide with Norman's previous psychotherapist, Dr. Richmond. Norman calls the radio station and tells his story using the pen name "Ed."
