Rags is the story of Charlie Prince, an orphan who lives with his acerbic and unloving stepfather and his spoiled, simple-minded stepbrothers. Charlie's dream is to be a singer, and despite his vocal talent and ability to write music, he can't seem to break through. Kadee Worth, on the other hand, is a global pop sensation and the daughter of music mogul Reginald Worth. While the world knows her as a glamorous superstar, she is secretly fed up with singing other people's songs and wearing clothes chosen for her by others. Kadee desires that the entire world hear and see her true talent. Regardless of the obstacles that are thrown in their path, Charlie and Kadee finally find what they have been looking for – a voice, a stage, an audience, and each other.
