To escape the remote town of Oscar and his best buddy Loux, the young lad performs a noble murder and runs away from home. He makes his way to the neighboring city and joins a gang of street thieves for children. As he is exposed to love, murder, and corruption, he loses his innocence. As a result of this, he has been able to forget his past and lead this band of lost youngsters. To make ends meet, Loux joins the ranks of a down-and-out private investigator when she relocates to the city. Discovering Oscar's missing-child listing, she sets out to reunite with the young man who had saved her life so many years earlier.
