Samurai II: Duel at Ichijoji Temple

Takezo returns to Kyoto after years on the road establishing himself as Japan's greatest fencer. The chief of the region's finest school of fencing, Otsu, has arrived to challenge him. He purposefully goes into ambushes set up by the school's followers to show his bravery and competence. While Otsu waits, Akemi goes looking for him. Meanwhile, Sasaki Kojiro, a talented young boxer, watches Takezo. Takezo proclaims his love for Otsu after triumphing over Kyoto, but in a way that disgraces her and him. He leaves alone again.
