A ragtag collection of New Yorkers caught up in the zeitgeist gathers in an underground salon known for its fusion of art, music, politics, and sexuality. Shortbus, a monthly Brooklyn social/artistic/sexual salon loosely based on different underground NYC meetings in the early 2000s, serves as a meeting point for the characters.
