Shrek The Musical is a musical with music by Jeanine Tesori and a book and lyrics by David Lindsay-Abaire, both of whom wrote the show. based on the Shrek movie made by DreamWorks Animation in 2001, as well as the Shrek book by William Steig in 1990. Eight Tony Awards were nominated for the show, including best show. The national tour and West End productions ended on July 19, 2013.
