Old lady begs young playwright Richard Collier to "Come back to me" on his debut play's opening night. When he becomes curious about her, he finds out that she was a well-known theatrical actress in the early 1900s. His obsession with her grows so strong that using self-hypnosis, he travels back in time and meets her.
