Unnecessary 'galaxy reducing' cameos from classic characters have been reduced or removed. Anakin is portrayed as a more mature and qualified figure an audience can relate to. Jar Container is modified as an everyman caught up in events outside his control that does his component in the fight for flexibility, rather than a traitorous clown.
