Storm Over Asia
A European capitalist fur trader defrauds a young and simple Mongol herdsman and trapper of a valuable fox fur in 1918. After being ostracized by the trading post, he flees to the hills after a brawl with the trader who cheated him. In 1920, he joins the Soviet partisans and aids them in their fight against the occupying British army. When the British try to requisition cattle from the herdsmen at the same time as the commandant meets with a reincarnated Grand Lama, he is captured. Following the trapper's death, the army discovers an amulet indicating that he is a direct descendant of Genghis Khan. They discover he is still alive, so the army heals him and plans to use him as the leader of a puppet regime. As a result of being put in charge of the puppet government, the trapper rises to prominence. By the end, however, the "puppet" has turned against his masters in a fit of rage.
