A boy on the verge of becoming a man named Juan Garcia lives in a gang-run neighborhood. As a child, he looked up to his older sister Angie, who was a single mother and worked hard to get a job in the white corporate world. His uncle Manny, who used to be in the gang, now works as an actor. It's almost time for Juan to grow up, but like most boys, he only thinks about girls and isn't aware of the hard-line stance of the judicial system.
