This emotional homage to the amazing life of Chickasaw Nation resident Mary Thompson Fisher sheds light on a culture in flux and the ways in which one lady utilized her voice to preserve Native traditions and storytelling. Her actual calling, as an actor, was waiting for her back home in Indian Territory, where she grew up as a Native American. Fisher performed Native American songs and stories for international leaders, American presidents, and European aristocracy everywhere from Chautauquas to Broadway to the White House.
