That Hamilton Woman

Sir William Hamilton, a widower of advanced age, is the British ambassador to Naples. Emma, who is visiting with her mother, is not a member of London society, but she is friendly with the Queen of Naples. A visit from Lord Nelson changes Emma's life. Sir William lets his young wife have her fling and first pretends to be unaware of the situation. Their first screen romance was in 1937's "Fire Over England," but their chemistry in this film is more hotter.
