Under healing hypnosis, an apparently well-adjusted girl tells a great story, validated by lie detector, of her failed to remember marriage to a male that disappeared on the day of their honeymoon, and of her search for him which takes her to a lonely estate in a remote area of swampland tenanted by snakes, alligators, an intoxicated one-armed lout, a mystical doctor, as well as a cold-hearted elderly woman that lives alone in a brooding manse.
