Abraham Lincoln, one of our country's greatest heroes, was shaped during his formative years in an isolated log cabin in the harsh wilderness of Indiana around the year 1817. It was there that the cyclical patterns of love, tragedy, and the day-to-day rigors of life on the expanding frontier shaped him. Abe is a thoughtful and quiet youngster who spends his days at the side of his cherished mother while learning to work the land from his strict father. His mother is the center of his world. After Abe's mother passes away from an illness, his new stepmother becomes his new guardian angel. She recognizes the potential in the youngster and encourages him to continue his studies despite his protests.
