When a stunning blonde is murdered, Stroud, the crusading editor of a crime magazine, is tasked by his publishing boss Janoth to identify the perpetrator, he must postpone a vacation with his wife once more. As the investigation nears its end, Stroud must strive to sabotage his normally excellent investigative team as they continue to gather (although incorrect) proof that he is the killer.
