The Blockhouse

When the Allies land in Normandy on D-Day, a group of Slave labourers, forced by the Nazis to help build their coastal defenses in1944, are trapped in a subterranean bunker. They discover vast stocks of food but insufficient candles. During their entrapment, the slow dimming of the light matches their growing boredom, disease, and jealousy. Adapted from Jean Paul Clebert's novel "Le Blockhaus."
