The Bridge on the River Kwai

The time-honored tale of English prisoners of war in Burma who were ordered to construct a bridge for their Japanese captors as part of their contribution to the war effort. Col. Nicholson, the commander who supervised the construction of the bridge, has developed a sense of pride in his work and strives to thwart the intelligence officers' plot to blow up the structure. However, the intelligence officers from both the United Kingdom and the United States are behind the plot.
