Thomas, a young German baker, is having an affair with Oren, a married Israeli man who often comes to Berlin for business trips. When Oren dies in a car accident in Israel, Thomas goes to Jerusalem to find out why he died. Under a false name, Thomas sneaks into the life of Anat, his lover's widowed wife, who owns a small cafe in downtown Jerusalem. Thomas starts working for her. He makes German cakes and cookies that make her cafe come to life, so she hires him to do that. It turns out that Thomas has a lot more to do with Anat's life than he ever thought. To keep the truth safe, he will stretch his lies to a point where they can't be changed back.
