Since Laura and Carmilla triumphed over the apocalypse and Carmilla reverted back to mortal human form, it has been five years. While Laura continues to work on her journalistic skills, Carmilla is adjusting to life as a normal human being in Toronto. In the midst of their marital bliss, Carmilla shows signs of "re-vamping," like a liking for gory goodies and unintentional biting, while Laura begins to have odd, haunting dreams. Their old pals at Silas University will now be needed to unravel the unknown supernatural menace and save humanity, including Carmilla.
