On the day before the Challenger disaster in 1986, one engineer goes to extraordinary lengths in an effort to halt the launch. This hot-headed engineer is convinced that the O-ring seals would break, which will result in the death of everyone on board the Challenger. As a result, he conducts a desperate race against the time to cancel the billion dollar, multi-delayed launch of the Challenger.
