The Cleansing
Alice is a sixteen-year-old girl who is suspected of being a witch and causing the epidemic that has decimated the hamlet, killing many people, including Alice's own father. Alice is forced to watch The Cleanser, an eerie masked entity, violently dispose of her mother after it is discovered that she had been hiding her mother's infection. After Alice rejects Tom's overtures, the local preacher and de facto leader forces her to through five agonizing trials. As she leaves the night before her execution with the help of Mary, her mother's best friend, she encounters a mystery healer, who has his own dark past and demons to deal with in the wilderness. He heals her and teaches her how to avenge herself on those who have wronged her.
