Mark Sway, a street-smart youth, witnesses the suicide of Jerome Clifford, a prominent Louisiana attorney whose current client is the Mafia hitman Barry 'The Blade' Muldano. Before Jerome shoots himself, he informs Mark about the senator's gravesite. Clifford shoots himself, Mark is discovered at the scene, and the FBI and the Mafia rapidly decide that Mark likely knows more than he's letting on.
