A TV adaptation of Alexandre Dumas' great novel. Jealous of his money, Edmond Dantes is wrongly accused and sentenced to life at the renowned Chateau d'If island prison. Prisoner Abbe Faria (whom everyone thinks is insane) A great treasure concealed on a tiny island only he knows about, says the Abbe to Edmond. Long in prison, the old Abbe dies and Edmond escapes as his body. Edmond must now find the treasure the Abbe warned him about in order to exact vengeance on those who have harmed him.
