This sentence sums up Alejandro Jodorowsky's biographical mission perfectly: reconstructing his life's extraordinary adventure. Alejandro Jodorowsky was born in 1929 in Tocopilla, Chile, a coastal hamlet on the outskirts of the desert where this picture was made. As part of an uprooted family, he had an unpleasant and alienated upbringing there, and it was there that he discovered the principles of reality.
