This is a live action black comedy set in an alternate 1950s. For a traditional seaside vacation, the Fitzroy hotel, an abandoned submarine just off the coast of England, is the only place left to go. Ongoing battle to maintain hotel airtight and viable revolves around Bernard, the hotel's bellboy, cook, maintenance man, and general dogsbody. Because of his attraction to the homicidal guest, his life takes an unexpected turn for the worse. In order to keep her killings a secret from the other guests and the authorities, Bernard's world is crumbling around him.
