The Forgiving

Avi Brickman is a middle-aged man who is still emotionally scarred by the death of his eight-year-old daughter five years ago. He decides to commit suicide in the home where the accident occurred after being fired from his work, a thin woven lifeline to his shattered existence. When he reaches at the lonely house in the woods, however, he discovers a woman and her small daughter seeking refuge. He is haunted by the ghosts of his past as he confronts his remorse and pain to a cathartic and surprising end throughout one long night in his muddled state of mind.
