As one of the most influential directors in cinematic history, Alfred Hitchcock deserves his place in a hallowed place. Known for his suspense films, Alfred Hitchcock's starring females were always stylish, attractive, and ideally blonde. While Tippi Hedren was an obscure fashion model when Hitchcock's wife spotted her on TV, she was given her big break when Hitchcock himself saw her on TV. Hedren was surprised when the filmmaker, at the height of his success, cast her in his next film, 1963's The Birds. Hedren had no idea that behind the camera would be the most terrifying part of the picture, despite how daunting the production would be to film.
