Chet Ripley, who loves the outdoors and lives in Chicago, is on vacation with his wife, Connie, and their two kids, Buck and Ben. But Connie's annoying brother-in-law Roman Craig, his wife Kate, and the couple's two daughters crash a peaceful weekend of fishing at a lakeside cabin in Wisconsin. As the trip goes on, the Ripleys find themselves at odds with the stuffy Craig family.
