With two kids between them, Kaoruko and Kazumasa Harima have split up and are now divorced. Once their daughter, Mizuho, starts primary school, they intend to split. Their daughter nearly drowned while at a pool one day, and they receive the devastating news that she has slipped into a coma. They have declared her brain dead with no hope of recovery, and the pair must now decide whether to harvest her organs to help others or wait for her heart to give out.
