A caravan rescues Seetha and Harold Berger from the desert and brings them to a settlement. To Prince Ramigani's dismay, the greedy proprietor of their lodging breaks the law of hospitality. Ramigani and his men pursue the couple and catch them. Meanwhile, Irene and Walter Rhode feel Maharaja Chandra is lying about Harold's fate. Ramigani coerces Seetha into marrying Chandra to appease the priests and gain the support of Prince Padhu and his troops. Meanwhile, Harold has escaped the dungeon and seeks out Seetha to save her.
