The Judge and the Assassin

France, 1893. Joseph Bouvier tries to kill himself and shoot his girlfriend after she refuses to marry him. With bullets still lodged in his head after being released from a filthy asylum, he stalks the country roads for years, committing rapes and murders against several adolescents. Rousseau catches Bouvier, but in order to further his ambitions, he tries to prevent Bouvier from being declared mad.
