Alison Peters has always done the right thing, but now that she is a lawyer who has to work at a grocery store, her life is in chaos. She needs money badly, so she posts an ad on MiCasaSuCasa.com to rent out her basement. James Brewer replies and says that he and his wife just broke up. Alison and her buddy Sarah have to cope with Alison's pestering supervisor Brandon at work. When Brandon is killed, the police think she might have done it. As Alison and James start to fall in love, more people in her life start to leave.
