Bridget Gregory (Linda Fiorentino), the femme fatale villain, wants out of her miserable marriage, so she persuades her husband, Clay (Bill Pullman), to sell cocaine. She then takes the money and goes, leaving him behind. Bridget Gregory (Linda Fiorentino) is the villain. On her way to Chicago, she makes a pit stop in a somewhat unimportant town, and it is there that she snares her subsequent victim, an insurance agent named Mike Swale (Peter Berg).
