Frank, his fiancee Zoe, and their team have accomplished the unthinkable: they have discovered a way to resurrect the dead. They are ready to make their work public after a successful, but unapproved, experiment on a lifeless animal. When their dean finds out what they've done, he closes them down. Zoe is killed while attempting to recreate the experiment, prompting Frank to put the procedure to the test on her. Zoe has been resurrected, but something evil has infected her.
