The Long Good Friday
In the late 1970s, Cockney crime boss Harold Shand, a gangster attempting to establish himself as a legitimate property developer, has grand plans to enlist the assistance of the American Mafia in order to fund his transformation of a derelict area of London into a potential venue for future Olympic Games. The Americans are in town for a weekend, and a sequence of attacks targets his empire on the same same weekend. Assuming that a traitor exists within his organization, Shand embarks on a violent campaign to exterminate the instigator of the plot.
