The Love of Jeanne Ney

In the Crimea, the Reds and Whites are still battling, and Jeanne realizes that the man she loves is a Bolshevik (when he kills her father). She returns to Paris, penniless, and works for her uncle. Andreas, her lover, arrives in France shortly after to organize the sailors at Toulon. Khalibiev, a thief, traitor, and libertine, also wishes to seduce Jeanne. His scheming, Jeanne and Andreas' naivety, and a missing gem push the lovers to the verge of disaster.
