The Man Who Fell to Earth

Thomas Jerome Newton is an extraterrestrial who has come to Earth in search of water in order to save his home planet from extinction. Thomas, with the assistance of attorney Oliver Farnsworth, employs his extensive knowledge of modern technology to develop valuable ideas for the benefit of others. In the course of researching a water transportation technology, Thomas meets Mary-Lou, a calm hotel clerk, and soon finds himself falling for her. Thomas is apprehended by the United States government just as he is about to leave Earth, jeopardizing his entire plan.
