Hitchcock's original picture from1934, which bore the same name, was remade in widescreen and Technicolor by Hitchcock. An American couple and their young kid are on vacation in Morocco when they stumble into the planning stages of an attempted murder. They are forced to take matters into their own hands in order to save the boy after he is stolen in order to guarantee that they remain silent.
