The North Star

A story of two slaves who fled from a Virginia plantation and found freedom in Buckingham, Pennsylvania, in 1849. Huge at 6'10", Big Ben is the target of every slave hunter on the east coast. Their trip takes them through danger and abuse, but also unexpected kindness from others working in the Underground Railroad. These events forever alter Ben and Moses. Ben and Moses become free men after reaching Mt. Gilead Church on Buckingham Mountain, where they meet historical luminaries including Frederick Douglass, Harriet Tubman, Joshua and Jonathan Fell.
