The Pagan Queen

THE PAGAN QUEEN is a contentious film about the end of the old pagan world in Central Europe based on the Czech legend of Libuse, the Slavic queen of 8th century Bohemia. This extraordinary woman, endowed with supernatural powers, visionary, and seer, foresaw the future and founded the modern city of Prague during a turbulent period of cultural change. Libuse governed the region's tribes as a woman, aided by her two lovely sisters Kazi and Teta and an army of women led by her best friend, the Amazon Vlasta. When the tranquil community of farmers is attacked by raiders and divided into factions of power-hungry landowners, Libuse is compelled to marry by her own people.
