After the tragic deaths of her family, Katherine Morrissey, a former Christian missionary, lost her faith. She now uses her knowledge to disprove religious claims. When a series of biblical plagues devastate a small town, Katherine arrives to prove that no supernatural force is to blame, but she soon discovers that science cannot explain what is going on. Instead, she must rediscover her faith in order to combat the evil lurking in a Louisiana swamp.
