Traveling to Puerto Rico to work for a little San Juan newspaper managed by Lotterman, Paul Kemp, an itinerant writer who is fed up with the suffocating norms of the late Eisenhower-era United States, is the perfect solution for him. After adopting the rum-soaked lifestyle of Hemingway's 'The Lost Generation' in the late 1950s, Paul finds himself linked with a very attractive American woman and her fiancé, a businessman involved in illicit real estate development dealings.
