The Shade Shepherd
During heroin withdrawal in 1987, Pike Ables is charged with a murder that he can't remember while he can't remember anything about the killing. It's time for him to make a choice: go to jail, or head for the Canadian border to start a new life there. As his only hope, his younger brother is Jack, a frustrated psychiatrist and soon-to-be father who is willing to leave everything behind, even his pregnant wife, in order to try and save him. When the brothers try to get out of the dark and into the light, things aren't what they seem.
